The Experience

Let’s face it: You love to travel. You can’t wait to explore that place you always hoped to visit or return to. All you need to do is find someone to share your adventure. You for sure don’t want to pay that dreaded ‘single supplement’ for tours, and of course you  don’t want to pay for an entire cabin on the cruise you have been dreaming of for a longtime.

Wouldn’t it be great if you could actually choose a senior, same sex, local traveling partner from a pool of many, selecting only the person who shares your travel style, your age range, level of health, level of activity, financial status and interests? Example: You love gourmet cooking and like to attend cooking classes. Your match can be narrowed down to those who are passionate about cuisine like yourself.

SeniorTravelBuddy.com is NOT A DATING SITE. It matches only same sex travelers who can get together for lunch or coffee to plan trips and talk about their travel likes and dislikes together. We do not advocate any particular trips or travel suppliers, and we do not recommend any destinations or experiences. That is for both of you to decide together. However, there is a tab on the front page called Featured Trips, and there you can find ideas and specials from our travel agency to help you put everything together, but this is entirely optional.

Single? Senior? Love to Travel?

Can’t stand paying for the “single supplement?”

You love to travel. You can’t wait to explore that place you always hoped to visit. Now, all you need to do is find someone to share your adventure because you for sure don’t want to pay that dreaded “single supplement” for tours or pay for an entire cabin on the cruise you have been dreaming of for a long time.

Here are some problems:

  • You are a senior single, and when you check with the tour company (or preferably your travel agent) they may be able to connect you with a travel mate, a person traveling on the same tour who is in your situation. You cannot control that connection either by age, interests, or any other attribute which is similar to yours, and you must agree to sharing the room or cabin with that person in order to receive the double occupancy pricing. Or, you may spend up to $1000 more for not sharing a room on the tour.
  • You can book through a singles cruise program, which involves not sharing a room but has a higher booking fare than that of each double occupancy cabin. And you must take the particular cruise that program offers, which may not be your idea of the perfect cruise for you.
  • You, have particular ways of traveling and don’t want to share occupancy with one who does not share your interests or tastes. What if you don’t like them?

Wouldn’t it be great if you can actually choose a senior local traveling partner from a pool of many, selecting only the person who shares your travel style, your age range, level of health, level of activity, financial status, interests. You get to choose where to travel, travel dates, whatever cruise or tour you like, and with whom you like. In my experience as a travel agent working with many senior clients, this is sometimes the biggest concern they have.

Being the traveler that you are, you should be comfortable with allowing a secure site to filter the data you provide us so we can offer you choices by email. Once you decide which profile might fit your idea of the perfect traveling buddy, it is your choice to contact that person and move forward from there. No contracts, no hassle, no feeling trapped into sharing accommodation with whomever the tour company selects. You are completely free to connect with whomever you want from our database.

It’s not rocket science, just plain common sense.

Using the power of the internet and for a small price, you have solved your travel sharing issues.
